Why I Bought and Canceled Kajabi…

I watched the Kajabi videos with some legitimate interest because Andy makes excellent videos.

I was immediately thinking about using it to power my websites and possibly for clients too.

So when it launched a few days ago, I took the trial.

Once I logged in, I knew within a few minutes that this wouldn’t work for me (and therefore I couldn’t recommend it to you).

BTW… how many of the promotions you’ve seen in the last week cam from people who actually tried the software out first before recommending it?

Back to the story:

I canceled my account the next day.

Here’s why…

What I discovered was that the administration area running the show was unbelievably UNINTUITIVE!

I am a smart dude.

Anyone who has ever spoken to me or purchased one of my courses should know that.

I spent over an hour fiddling with everything and trying to set up one page to see what it would look like in the templates…

… and not only did it seem like it took 5 hours, I couldn’t figure it out at all.

I uploaded a video and it jacked up the size and formatting… and it’s not like I didn’t look for some settings to change the size, I did.

But this humble user couldn’t figure it out.

The bottom line, is this will probably take me longer to figure out, than Paypal’s API (which if you stack teh words on top of each other is higher than Atlanta’s Bank of America Building… that’s over 30 stories).

If you’re looking for USER-FRIENDLY I can not honestly recommend Kajabi.

Unless you have NEVER touched an html editor before I would steer clear of this.

There’s many resources available online that do almost everything and more.

And besides, who wants to leave WordPress, the world’s single most powerful publishing platform bar none… WordPress in gangsta period.

(and putting multiple systems together is not as big a deal as he makes it out to be)

He says Kajabi puts everything under one roof.

Then a few minutes later he says that you’ll be integrating into your favorite shopping cart and autoresponder service.

NOTE: he’s only integrated with 3 or 4 solutions and there’s no option to do a “generic” integration so if you don’t use Paypal only, Infusionsoft or 1ShoppingCart, then you’re pretty left high and dry.

And who’s he kidding, InfusionSoft is no one’s favorite… even their users wish there was a way out! (just ask them)

So in fact, Kajabi is also integrating multiple services together like he was saying is bad.

BOTTOM LINE:

I’m not saying Kajabi doesn’t work.

I’m not saying it completely sucks (I really like the drip content features)

I’m not saying you won’t like it.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t try it out.

I’m just saying this guy can’t give you his recommendation.

At the end of the day, the fancy videos sold me in, but the product pushed me out.

WP Spire (The Ultimate WordPress Plugin & Theme)

In my last posted I raved about one of my favorite WordPress plugins called WP Spire. I decided I’d make a video to quickly share some of the reasons WP Spire kicks butt.

In this video I login to one my WordPress installations and show how I’m using WP Spire and other wordpress plugins to do some nifty stuff.

At the end of the day i like this thing because it will help me sell more stuff.

End of story.

Enjoy!

The Ultimate WordPress Plugin (5 out of 5 Stars…)

If you use wordpress or want to then you owe it to yourself to check this new WordPress theme and plugin I just discovered.

It’s called WP Spire.

I know what you’re thinking. With a name like that how good could it be? Really Good is my answer.

I actually found it on Google while searching for a WordPress plugin to customize individual pages into sales letters without changing the primary theme of the blog.

So basically, I can have a normal blog looking blog with the sidbar and links to all the post and categories etc. BUT at the same time I wanted to be able to turn individual pages into fully customizable sales letters or optin forms.

I use Thesis and it does some really cool stuff and it’s great for SEO – but it does NOT come close to being able to do what WP Spire does.

There’s several solutions that are pretty good on the surface. Most of them do one or two things right but blow it in another area.

This is without question the single most powerful and exciting WordPress Plugin I’ve ever found.

Go here to read the very detailed WP Spire sales page and see dozens of happy comments.

It’s worth noting that there is also a PLUGIN only version which is what I purchased. It does 90% of what the full theme does and is perfect for most of you. Of course if you want to be able to global changes you’ll want the full theme.

If you don’t follow… please check out the Plugin Page.

I seriously URGE you to go and read every word on the sales site because I think you’re going to want to get a copy and I’m thinking you’re really going to like it.

I know I sure did…I bought immediately after looking over the site and closely investigating the features.

It’s not free, but also not expensive for what it does.

I give WP Spire 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!

Let me know what you think.

Best,

Joe Lavery
